Every Personal episode is metered: X reads, model tokens, voice generation, and rendering. A typical Personal cloud episode runs about $0.20–$0.75; local mode costs less. You see the real cost of every episode in your usage dashboard.
Local mode is BYO-key — and we're proud of it.
The macOS app can run on your own OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini keys, stored only on your Mac. Feedcast adds no AI markup — you pay providers directly at cost. You own your keys and your data.

A usage credit is prepaid value denominated in dollars — you add credits, and each episode draws down only what it actually cost to run. Credits are redeemable only for Feedcast episodes, never cash, never transferable to another person, never withdrawable.
New listeners get trial credits on us — enough for a few Personal episodes to feel the magic. It is never funded by selling your data, and there's no card required to try it.
Feedcast reserves the estimated cost before a job starts, so an episode never begins unless it's already paid for. Turn on auto-refill and we'll top your wallet up automatically when it drops below a threshold you set, capped at a monthly limit you control.
